Set up by coffee lovers, for coffee lovers

The Artisan Coffee School was founded by Edwin and Magda, driven by a shared passion for education and a deep belief in the potential of coffee to bring people together. Their goal was simple: to help the next generation of baristas and coffee lovers understand everything this remarkable product can offer.

Over time, the school has become one of the things they are most proud of — a place where people at every stage of their coffee journey can build skills, grow confidence, and develop a genuine appreciation for coffee in all its forms. Whether someone is just beginning their exploration or looking to refine professional skills, the focus has always been on creating an environment that is welcoming, inspiring, and grounded in real industry experience.

The Coffee School

In 2025, the school moved from its original home in Ealing, having outgrown the space as demand for courses continued to grow. It is now located in a purpose-built training facility in Chiswick, designed to provide the ideal environment for learning, tasting, and exploring coffee in depth.

With a dedicated classroom and a bespoke cupping lab, the space has been carefully created to offer everything a coffee lover could hope for. Located within the Curious Roo coffee roastery, students experience full immersion from the moment they arrive, stepping through the roastery doors and into a working coffee environment where theory and practice come together.

  • Peter

    Heading up the Artisan Coffee School, Peter delivers our coffee courses and develops engaging content for students while supporting the growth of our trainers. He works with passion and dedication to ensure every student leaves with the practical skills, confidence and knowledge needed to become the best barista they can be.

  • Paulina

    Share information about your brand with your customers. Describe a product, make announcements, or welcome customers to your store.

  • Andy

    Andy Prosser is a highly respected figure in the coffee industry and a former Q Arabica Instructor with the Coffee Quality Institute (CQI). An Authorised SCA Trainer (AST) and Level 2 Processing Professional, he has delivered education programmes across Europe and Africa, working with organisations including USAID and TechnoServe. Andy has also held senior roles in quality, sourcing and product development, including Head of Quality at Keurig Dr Pepper.

  • Edwin

    Edwin is a leading voice in the specialty coffee industry, speaking at events including the European Coffee Leaders Summit, London Coffee Festival and Café Culture. He is passionate about helping others realise their coffee ambitions, drawing on his experience founding the Artisan cafés and the award-winning Curious Roo Coffee Roasters. Edwin consults internationally, supporting both global brands and aspiring café owners to build successful coffee businesses.

  • Kasia

    Leading Sensory Education at the Artisan Coffee School, Kasia shares her expertise in coffee processing, grading and tasting. As a Q Arabica Grader, CQI Lecturer and Head of Coffee at Curious Roo Roastery, she is passionate about improving coffee quality and developing deeper understanding from origin to cup. Kasia works closely with students to build strong sensory skills and appreciation for coffee, while continuing to explore coffee cultures around the world.

OUR CHARITY

More Than a Dent has been established by Edwin and Magda to deliver projects with a long term impact to communities in need all around the world, with one project being funded per year.

Only projects that offer long term benefit to communities are selected and then fundraised for. Measures are put in place to support the project's delivery of their objectives over the long term.

This is very much a small focused charity with a big heart. We have no office, no employees and no shortage of enthusiasm from those who buy into the idea that projects with a long term focus can positively benefit the communities around them.
